Carlos D. Perez-Mesa is a highly experienced trial attorney practicing in both New Jersey and Hawaii since 1986. In Hawaii, he has taken over 20 jury and bench trials to verdict in state and federal courts and has participated in more than 300 arbitrations and mediations. His legal career spans a broad spectrum of civil litigation, including personal injury, employment discrimination, construction law, product liability, and complex insurance defense.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Perez-Mesa clerked for Judge Nicholas Mandak in Passaic County, New Jersey. He later focused on personal injury and insurance defense litigation, representing AIG™ and Farmers™ Insurance insureds in auto and premises liability claims. He served for seven years as a trial attorney for AIG™’s Staff Counsel in Honolulu. Mr. Perez-Mesa also has three published opinions before the Hawaii Supreme Court and regularly handles complex arbitrations and mediations across a wide range of civil matters, including AOAO disputes and UM/UIM claims.
