Erik C. Fritz in Newport Beach

Erik C. Fritz is a senior attorney in the Newport Beach office of McKennon Law Group PC. He is a University of Miami (FL) School of Law – educated, cum laude graduate. Mr. Fritz has nearly two decades years of broad-based litigation experience. Mr. Fritz has taken dozens of depositions, participated in numerous mediations, and has significant experience in every aspect of the litigation process. He is admitted to all federal and state courts in California and has been admitted pro hac vice in courts throughout the country. Mr. Fritz is also an active member of The Florida Bar.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fritz was a senior attorney at a Newport Beach mass tort firm with a national practice. He spent over two years there, where he fought for clients harmed by dangerous supplements and medical devices. Mr. Fritz was the lead associate on a dietary supplement case that settled for a confidential seven-figure amount. He also served as the lead associate on the firm’s childhood sex abuse cases.

Prior to relocating to California in 2020, Mr. Fritz spent over a decade litigating a variety of matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida, including plaintiffs’ personal injury, complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and insurance litigation. This broad-based experience gives him a unique perspective of being able to understand the potential weaknesses of his clients’ cases, allowing him to get out ahead of those issues and successfully address them from day one.

Presently, Mr. Fritz represents policyholders in insurance coverage litigation, primarily on disability insurance, life insurance, accidental death, long-term care, and ERISA claims, including pension claims. He represents insureds, claimants, beneficiaries, businesses, and other consumers who believe that an insurance company or employer improperly denied their claim for insurance or ERISA benefits.
