James William Cummings

James is a dedicated attorney with a deep commitment to community, family, and justice. With a background that includes international legal education and civic involvement, he brings a global perspective and a local heart to his personal injury practice. He lives in Southbury, Connecticut with his wife, Lynn, and their children, James and Chloe. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, fishing, and staying active in civic affairs in Southbury and the greater Waterbury area.

James graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1980 and earned a double major in Economics and Business from Rollins College. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific in California, followed by advanced legal studies in Austria where he obtained a degree in International Business Law from the University of Salzburg. He later completed his LLM in International Tax Law at the University of the Pacific.

His background in international law and business has helped shape a legal practice rooted in strategic thinking and compassionate advocacy.
